Windows 95 / 98
  1. Open My Computer on the desktop.
  2. Locate the Dialup Networking icon and open it.
  3. Inside the Dialup Networking window there should be an icon for your dial up connection.
  4. Your icon may be called "My Connection" or something similar. Use the right mouse button to click once on the icon. A popup menu will appear.
  5. Using your left mouse button, select Properties on the dropdown menu. A new window will appear.
  6. This dialog box will show the phone number. Please change it to the new number.
  7. Select OK.
  8. The changed dial-up access number will now be saved.

Windows ME (Millennium Edition)
  1. Open My Computer on the desktop.
  2. Locate the Control Panel icon and open it.
  3. Locate the Dial Up Networking icon and open it.
  4. Inside the Dialup Networking window there should be an icon for your dial up connection.
  5. Your connection icon may be called "My Connection" or something similar. Use the right mouse button to click once on the icon. A popup menu will appear.
  6. Using your left mouse button, select Properties on the dropdown menu. A new window will appear.
  7. This dialog box will show the phone number. Please change it to the new number.
  8. Select OK.
  9. The changed dial-up access number will now be saved.

Windows XP (Classic View)/ 2000
  1. Select Start → Settings → Control Panel, and a new window will appear.
  2. Click on the icon for Network and Dialup Connections. You may have to scroll down to find it.
  3. Inside the Network and Dialup Connections window there should be an icon for your dial up connection.
  4. Your icon may be called "My Connection" or something similar. Use the right mouse button to click once on the icon. A popup menu will appear.
  5. Using your left mouse button, select Connect on the dropdown menu. A new window will appear.
  6. Change the phone number to the new number.
  7. Click on "Dial."
  8. If Windows asks "Make the phone number change permanent?" answer "Yes."
  9. This should connect you with the new settings.
  10. The changed dial-up access number will now be saved.

Windows XP (Category View)
  1. Select Start → Control Panel, and a new window will appear.
  2. From the list labeled, 'Pick a category', select Network and Internet Connections. A new window will apear.
  3. From the section labeled, 'or pick a Control Panel Icon', select Network Connections. A new window will appear.
  4. Locate the icon for your dial-up connection. Right-click the icon once. A popup menu will appear.
  5. Using your left mouse button, select Connect on the dropdown menu. A new window will appear.
  6. Change the phone number to the new number.
  7. Click on "Dial."
  8. If Windows asks "Make the phone number change permanent?" answer "Yes."
  9. This should connect you with the new settings.
  10. The changed dial-up access number will now be saved.

MAC OS 8.x and 9.x
  1. First, click on the Apple Menu, then go to Control Panels.
  2. Open Remote Access.
  3. In the Remote Access Control Panel option, you should see the phone number you are dialing to access the Internet. Type in the new phone number.
  4. Close the window you have open and save the changes when it prompts you.
  5. The changed dial-up access number will now be saved.

Mac OS X
  1. First, click on the Apple Menu, then go to System Preferences.
  2. Click on "Network" under Internet & Network.
  3. Select "Internal Modem" from the "Show" pulldown menu.
  4. Select the "PPP" tab.
  5. You should see the phone number you are dialing to access the Internet. Type in the new phone number.
  6. Click "Apply Now."
  7. The changed dial-up access number will now be saved.
