Outlook 2007

Please follow the directions below to configure Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

Getting Started with Outlook 2007

  1. Open Outlook 2007

  2. "Click" Tools, from the pull down menu and select E-mail Accounts Settings

  3. In the Account Settings window, select the EMail tab, and "click" New.



  4. "Select" Microsoft Exchange Server, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and "click" Next



  5. "Check" manually configure server setting; and "click" Next



  6. "Select" Internet EMail; and "click" Next



Configure your Outlook 2007 for POP3 and SMTP Authentication

  1. Type in your User Information:
    • Your Name as you want it to appear in an Email
    • Your full email address for this Email Account

  2. Type in your Server Information:

    • Select the account type as POP3
    • For Incoming mail server enter pop3.eticomm.net (or mail.yourdomain.com if your Domain is hosted with ETI
    • For Outgoing mail server enter mail.eticomm.net (or mail.yourdomain.com if your Domain is hosted with ETI
      (If you are a Comcast or Verizon customer, please use your Comcast or Verizon server name in the SMTP server setting. Both companies block port 25 so you need to send mail out through their servers.)

  3. Type in your Logon Information:

    • If your email address is @eticomm.net then enter just your username without @eticomm.net (Or if your Domain is hosted with ETI then use your entire e-mail address eg. info@yourdomain.com)
    • Enter the password for your EMail Account

  4. "Check" the remember password field

  5. "Click" on More settings...

  6. Under the Outgoing Server tab "Check" My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication; and "click" OK




  7. "Click" Next

  8. Review the account information; and "click" Finish
